Overall - The Stratego Board Game Received A Total Rating Of 5 Out Of 5 - Based On 1 Reviews.

The Stratego board game, a strategy board game for the family has been around since the 1960′s when it was first released by the Milton and Bradley company. Since that time the game has been released in a few different versions and has pretty much gone global as far as it’s reach is concerned.

Just some of the most popular versions have included “Stratego: Lord Of The Rings”, Stratego: Star Wards and many others.

The Stratego game is very much a strategy war game which is based on the concept of 40 soldiers moving around the board, each with varying capabilities and ranks, a little like you’d have in the board game of chess. Unlike chess though, no one actually knows the ranks of the players peices, which leaves a big element of surprise when playing Stratego.

The game is designed for young adults and can be played by two players only.

The Stratego board game was a favourite on mine, I’ve just introduced my grandson to it and he seemed to enjoy playing it as much as I did.

The game has been updated since the first version I played, and in my opinion this isn’t for the better. The game used to be based around a strong military theme but it’s now become more about dragons and elves, probably to try and bring it up to date with what kids like these days. The game play is the same though which is good.

At first anyone playing this for the first time will find that the rules are rather complex, which can put some people off.

The game is mean’t to last around 30 minutes but can go on for longer.

I enjoyed playing this game now as much as I did all those years ago.
